ASSOCIATE SUSTAINABILITY ENGINEER - M&E CONSULTANCY - DUBLIN

JOB DESCRIPTION

Our client provides mechanical and electrical consultancy services to
the residential, commercial, micro-electronic, healthcare, municipal,
educational, sports & leisure, high tech and pharmaceutical sectors.

As our sustainability associate will have an opportunity to work on a
range of projects from data centres to commercial fitouts. 

A key member of the sustainability management team. 

Problem-solving is natural to you, with an ability to apply current
technologies and exercise independent technical judgement in your
day-to-day work. Participating in financial considerations as
required. 

Your experience will help the team thrive, leading in challenging
technical projects, providing continuous peer to peer reviews both
internally and externally.

Ensure the delivery of projects and sustainability goals in line with
the project targets

Leading LEED Certification assessments on Data Centre projects

Manage a team of sustainability professionals in the delivery of
multiple large-scale projects

Lead a high performing team; leading group calls, championing QA, and
meeting project deadlines

Motivating the team, offering guidance, providing **Apply on the

Work to minimise costs within the Sustainability Group

Help manage overall Sustainability Group resources, including
outsourcing to third parties

Quality Assurance within the wider company and help shape the Quality
Assurance procedures

Manage Quality Control measures and ensure necessary resources for
quality control reviews, implementing prior to issues

Identify necessary training needs for the team and champion its
implementation

Conduct market research and assist in developing new sustainability
consultancy services

Developing operational, embodied and net-zero carbon strategies

Keeping up to date with the new law and regulations for Ireland and EU

Presenting new trends to internal Sustainability and M&E teams

Champion collaboration between M&E 

REQUIREMENTS

8+ years’ experience with LEED AP, managing projects

3+ years&# *; experience in people management,
managing multidisciplinary teams (consultants and engineers, etc.) 

3+ years&# *; project management experience,
overseeing projects 

Understand Green Building Certifications and Technical Excellence

Undertaking environmental assessments using third-party assessment
methodologies such as BREEAM, LEED, WELL, EU Taxonomy

Experience working in sustainability teams to successfully deliver
projects

Drive for continuous innovation and adoption of emerging technologies,
regulations, and environmental challenges

Understand client’s needs, and puts effort in developing trust and
rapport

Champion and promote innovation at all levels

Strong relationship builder with key external business associates

Understand the terms and conditions within a contract and works within
these parameters

Take responsibility for the flow of information to external parties

A thought leader, engaging relevant communities on social media with
thought provoking insights

Excellent communication, presentation, and organisational skills

Ability to work well with employees at all levels of the organisation
